RRB Junior Engineer & DMS Vacancy Details
The Railway Recruitment Board has announced a total of 3,993 vacancies for the posts of Junior Engineer (JE) and Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) under CEN No. 04/2026. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess a 3-year Diploma in Engineering in relevant fields such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Production, Automobile, Instrumentation and Control, Mechatronics, or Information Technology. For the Depot Material Superintendent post, a 3-year Diploma in any engineering discipline is accepted.
Age Limit & Relaxation
Candidates must be between 18 and 33 years of age as of January 1, 2027. Age relaxation is provided as per Government of India norms: 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates. Additional relaxations are applicable for Ex-Servicemen and PwBD candidates as specified in the official notification.
Application Fee
General, OBC, and EWS candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 500. For SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Transgender, EBC, and female candidates, the fee is reduced to Rs. 250.
Salary & Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be placed in Level 6 of the 7th CPC pay matrix, with an initial monthly salary of Rs. 35,400, plus applicable allowances.
